Five Senses is a film I made with one of my best friends, Ursula Bowling, under the moniker "Snapdragon Productions." The film explores the evolution of a relationship through little moments centered around one sense. The idea for this film came from a note written on my iPhone in 2015, in which I connected the five senses to stages in a relationship.
I hand-drew and scanned all of the art for the film, namely the inter-titles, which also became the movie poster. The idea was to evoke a silent-film aesthetic with some modern sensibilities, thus the line art and fonts with the medallion drawings. Each medallion represents one of the titular five senses that Nell and Chloe's relationship goes through.
Written and directed by Charlotte Force. Cinematography and editing by Ursula Bowling. Chloe Worthington and Nell Bailey acted. Soundtrack was written and performed by Tom Sobolik. Lighting by Liz Sobolik and Mafe Garcia.
